Easter Festivities

Holidays have been significantly different for our family in the last year and half. Holiday travel is risky for many reasons, so the norm has become small celebrations at home with Jeremy, myself and the boys. We were very happy to have Emily and her fiance, Mike join us to celebrate. We enjoyed an afternoon of company, food and fun.

Donnie and David and I prepared by reading "Jesus is Risen" (thanks for the books Uncle Andy!) and talking about why we celebrate. On Sunday, Mike and Emily showed up with some major goodies for the boys and a tasty cake. The guys grilled burgers and Emily and I decorated eggs with the boys. Toads and Bids enjoyed their egg hunt and outside time. It was a lovely day!

Donnie preferred the hard boiled eggs to the candy. I'm a happy mom!

Wind up toys, whoopee cushion, Legos--multisensory stim!

It was a memorable day for our family. This post is a little late, but I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We are thankful for Christ's resurrection and his love for us!
